- Murat Erkan
Turkcell Superonline

Murat Erkan has joined the Turkcell family in June 2008 as the Tellcom General Manager, started his carrier in Toshiba. He continued his career as the first “System Engineer” of Turkey at Cisco Turkey. He has worked on the pioneer projects of Turkey’s leading finance, telecommunication companies, holdings and public corporations such as Turkcell. Erkan carried on his carrier as Business Unit Management at Aneltech on solutions related to Telecommunication, Mobile, ICT, defense industry and industrial products sectors as from 2006, before his appointment at Tellcom. Erkan, managed the merge of Tellcom and Superonline in 2009 and graduated from Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering of Yıldız Technical University in 1992. He is working as Turkcell Superonline’s General Manager since 2008.

Guy is Managing Director of Redmill Communications Ltd, a specialised analyst and marketing consultancy, based in the UK. RCL was created in 2007 to provide expert market analysis and marketing consultancy services for emerging technology and telecommunications companies.

RCL covers and researches a number of key areas for its clients, including, IMS and SDP, Network QoS, CEM, Policy, HTML5 and API exposure, Data mediation and Analytics, Rich Communications Suite, and Hosted Enterprise Applications.

Recent research reports include HTML5, New Monetisation Opportunities for Service Providers, NFC Applications and Market, and, in collaboration with Moriana Group, IMS and RCS and RCS: An Operator Perspective.

Guy has an extensive background in telecoms and IP signalling, and has been a frequent speaker at industry events on topics such as IMS, RCS, Service Delivery Platforms and opportunities for hosted enterprise services.

Previously, Guy held business development, product marketing and management roles in a number of companies, including Cantata, Brooktrout Technology and Telesoft Technologies. Guy holds an MSc from Bath University and a BSc from the University of Leeds.

- Hassan Claussen
Managing Director

Hassan M. Claussen has been working in the Telecoms and IT market for over 20 years. In the early 90’s, Hassan was heading sales & marketing operations in Hamburg (Germany) for one of the largest IT Consultants, Telemation (acquired in 2000 by Dimension Data).
In Portugal since 1996, Hassan started a new career in business development, training and consulting with international training experts, ComGlobal. During this time he provided valuable services to many individuals and enterprises in the area of IT and Telecommunications. The business he worked with was recognized for many years as a leading IT Consultant.
After 17 years experience in the Telecoms and IT markets, Hassan M. Claussen founded HanseCom Media & Communication in November 2004.
With HanseCom he is now working in the event management and organization industry specializing in the telecommunications and IT industry. Together with his team, Hassan focuses his expertise in developing profitable events, handling projects from design and research, to marketing and sales, through to speaker acquisitions and management running up to and on the day of an event.

- Jaume Salvat

Jaume Salvat is the Founder & Partner at Aggaros, a technical and business consultancy specialized in Telecommunications and Information Systems.

He was CEO of Andorra Telecom and Andorra Telecom Regulator from April 2006 to March 2013. He is a Telecommunications engineer, with over 30 years in the Telecommunications Sector, with a wide experience in different Telecommunication Operators, holding Executive positions in Strategic Planning, Commercial, Network Technology, Engineering, Planning, Deployment, Operation and Maintenance.

As a consultant he was very actively involved in projects with Regional Governments, Municipalities and private Telecommunication Operators related to Strategic, Business, and Technical and Organizational aspects

- Manfred Schmitz
Detecon International GmbH

Manfred Schmitz is a Partner at Detecon International GmbH and in this function responsible for the business in Turkey. During more than five years with Detecon he had multiple international assignments in the area of global operational excellence, technology strategy and planning with special emphasis on new telecommunication technologies such as LTE and network related services. He studied in Electrical Engineering in Cologne and earned an MBA at the Henley Management College, UK. 

During more than 20 years in the mobile and fixed network telecommunications business he has held several positions at both suppliers and for different mobile operators. Before joining Detecon he was Senior Manager Global Technology Planning at Vodafone Group Technology, Head of Service Management department at MobilCom Multimedia and Software Developer at Siemens in Munich.

He is internationally recognized in the area of strategic telecommunication and authored numerous publications on telecommunications strategy and planning, network operations management and managed services.

- Mert Başar

Prior to joining TTNET as Chief Marketing Officer, Mr. Başar worked for Turkcell as Marketing Director for Corporate Customer Segment for 6 years.
He worked at Compaq Computer and Hewlett Packard as Sales and  Marketing Manager and undertook various responsibilities in related fields.
N. Mert Başar started his career at Yaman Bilişim Dağıtım in 1995. Mert Başar graduated from Kadıköy Anatolian High School and holds a Bachelor’s Degree on Business Administration from İstanbul University.

- Nevra Duygu Duru

Nevra Duygu Duru, was graduated from business administration department at Boğaziçi University in 1996. She finished her MBA education in Cornell University in USA. After she worked as assistant brand manager in  Procter & Gamblebetween the years 1998 and 2001, she started to work within the team of individual segment profit and product management in 2001. Before she joined to Turkcell Superonline, she was managing corparate segment mobile voice and messaging division after having experience of different responsibilities in corporate segment marketing field since 2003. Nevra Duygu Duru, works as marketing director in Turkcell Superonline since 2012.
- Paolo Sebben
Managing Partner

Paolo Sebben started his telecom career over twenty years ago at Alcatel. After several years of experience as Manager in telecom technology development companies he moved to the Swiss Telecom carrier Swisscom, where he was Director of Key Account Management.

Since ten years Mr. Sebben uses his experience in the field as consultant. Mr. Sebben is co - founder of effectas. effectas is very focused on FTTH and is the market Leader in Switzerland for FTTH consultany and turnkey solutions. Paolo Sebben was one of the main drivers behind the FTTH development in Switzerland. Together with power utilities he founded and managed as the former managing director the Swiss FTTH – association, called “openaxs”.

Cities which developed FTTH now want to get a maximal benefit out ICT Infrastructures and are now pursuing together with effectas the path towards smart grids and smart cities.

Paolo Sebben is Chair of the Smart City Committee at the FTTH Council Europe.

Mr. Sebben is mechanical engineer and holds an MBA from Strathclyde University of Glasgow.

- Richard Jones

Richard Jones co-founded Ventura Team as a different kind of consultancy - employing only senior professionals (the average age is 45) with exceptional hands-on skills.

Richard's pragmatic approach to developing and then implementing strategies and operations with his colleagues has earned a strong reputation with operators facing tough challenges in the region and also with industry bodies such as the Fibre to the Home Council and GSM-A.

Richard recently completed his second NGA startup and rollout in the Gulf. He has previously been seconded in as Chief Commercial Officer from startup to the launch phases of a Gulf startup operator - covering all aspects of business and financial planning, commercial deployment and implementation. During this work he was closely involved in the evaluation process and eventual selection of the largest WiMAX deployment in EMEA.

Richard supports strategic decision making through generic and tailored events and workshops, as well as holding training across a number of topics including project and programme management and leadership.

He has also designed and led major change programmes for multinational companies - directing and training internal facilitation teams to identify and implement changes in projects of up to two years duration and covering all aspects of multi-country operations. He is currently engaged in a project of this type for the UN - working to help the regulator in Iraq.

His work in turning around the toughest projects and programmes led to his writing Project Management Survival - published by Kogan Page in English and available in other languages including Chinese.Richard has a degree in Electronics (UK/France), a masters equivalent in engineering and an MBA with distinction.

- Roland Montagne
Director Telecoms Business Unit

Roland Montagne joined IDATE in 1998 and he is now Director Telecoms Business Unit. In his position he is responsible of IDATE Consulting and Research activities covering Telecoms markets.
Roland is also Head of Broadband / FTTx Practice at IDATE. Mr Montagne played a leading role in previous IDATE International studies. He has carried out several studies dealing with European Broadband roll out and he is in charge actually of an annual Survey on Broadband Access for the DGInfSo. Since 2004, Roland Montagne is leading FTTx works at IDATE and is also the project leader, twice a year, for the FTTH Council Europe European FTTH projects panorama (10th edition in 2012). He also achieved a major study for the French Government on scenarios for deploying Very High Broadband networks in France (cost model and Government options). Roland Montagne also carried out several strategic analyses focused on US and Asian developing FTTH markets. He has been recently involved on FTTH cost model analysis for the United Kingdom as well as best practice study looking at fibre indoor deployments as well as ducts sharing. Recently, He was also leading a study on the potential of NGPON technologies as well as maturity of active wholesale for developing FTTH markets. In 2012 Roland is conducting FTTH projects Panorama for Latin America FTTH Chapter (8 countries covered), FTTH Council APAC (14 countries studied/3rd edition) and is leading an annual worldwide FTTx watch service proposed by IDATE and covering more than 60 countries (5th edition).

Roland is a regular speaker in key events related to FTTH topics at an international level (FTTH Councils Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, Latin America and US, FTTH Forum, Broadband World Forum, IIR, Informa & IQPC events, ETNO, CITI and IDATE Digiworld Summit).

Roland Montagne is a Telecommunications Engineer (ENST Paris, 1994) and received a Master on Electronics (University Paris 6, 1994). He also worked for AT&T Bell laboratories (USA) as Engineer on DWDM Optical Networks and ATM technologies. He started his carrier in the France Telecom R&D labs working on optical communications.

- Selen Kocabas
Chief Corporate Business Unit Officer

Selen Kocabaş joined Turkcell in 2003 and she is the Chief Corporate Business Unit Officer. Mrs. Kocabaş started her professional career as a Management Trainee at Koç Holding, Mrs. Kocabaş later worked as Human Resources Expert at Arçelik, then as a Human Resources Coordinator at Marshall for five years, followed by Danone Sa where she worked for four years as Human Resources Director and was responsible for founding the water and milk companies, establishing the proper structure and deploying optimum human resources.

Selen Kocabaş is a graduate of Economics from Istanbul University. She also obtained a master's degree in Human Resources Management from Marmara University.

- Serhat Ayan


Journalist since 1990, specialized on telecommunication news, Serhat Ayan worked for main Newspapers, TV's and radios across Turkey. He also worked for Türk Telekom and Turkcell as a PR consultant. Since 2011, he is working as a freelance journalist/blogger and consultant about telecommunication subjects.

- Tim Ringsdore
Chief Relationship Officer

Tim has been with JT since 2000 and began his career heading up a new Product Development team, set up to develop new and competitive services.  In 2005 he became the Sales and Marketing Director for the JT Group and in 2009 was appointed Managing Director of the Global Enterprise Division with a mandate to grow new business from outside of the Channel Islands. Prior to JT, Tim worked at Channel Television for 24 years, working his way up from Camera-man to Head of Production

- Yunus Celebiler
Head of Infrastructure Development

Yunus Celebiler is responsible for growing TurkNet’s fiber infrastructure since 2008.  TurkNet’s infrastructure investments include international fiber optic interconnections, metro area fiber networks in several Turkish cities, the highest number of Unbundled Local Loops of any Turkish operator, and an expanding FTTH network. Prior to TurkNet, Yunus worked in Silicon Valley, Boston, and London, helping grow several startup companies through to strategic acquisitions. Yunus holds a BS from Stanford University and an MBA from INSEAD.
